We wanted to reach out to all of you to say Happy Holidays and alert you to a few things.
Fall League End
The final regular league games are all but finished for Fall League. Please make sure that all your game results are up to date and that you get your makeup games done as needed. We will be reaching out to all league teams regarding the Spring Club Championship to ask you to Opt-In or Opt-Out so we have a better idea of participation heading into Winter. Remember that there will be a Championship for both 5&U and Rec leagues and an Open division. So even if you didn't win your league, you can still participate in the Open Championship!
US Open - December 28-30
Our next major event is the 2019 ASHAM US Open which runs from Friday, December to Sunday, December. Due to extenuating circumstances we have only a small men's field of 12 teams, but these are all high-quality teams form the World Curling Tour. Please stop down after Christmas to enjoy some great curling by some top international teams!
Men's Challenge Round - January 3-6
Right on the heels of the US Open is the USA Curling Men's Challenge Round. The field of 16 Men's teams are competing for four spots to advance to the USA Curling Men's Nationals which leads the the Men's World Curling Championship! Our own Todd Birr will be competing and is one of the top seeds in the event. In addition, Team All Pro Curling featuring former Minnesota Viking, Jared Allen and three other NFL pro bowl players will be competing! We expect it to be a very busy and entertaining weekend.
As usual, with any Championship Event, we will be looking for Volunteer Game Timers. We have a sign up system listing dates and times needed with the number of volunteers. You can find that here:
Timing is a great way to volunteer and get a front row seat to watch our top curlers!
With the Holiday Season upon us we are entering our very busy time of year where we host the bulk of our Corporate and Group Curling Events. Not only are these events a primary source of revenue for the facility, they are also one of the ways that we bring in new members to FSCC! If you haven't yet volunteered for an event or have stepped away from volunteering for a while, please consider helping out at one of these events and share your passion and love for our great game! You can find the signup for all future events at link which is also available on the website homepage:
As of today the Big Spiel is at 80 teams and hoping to get to the full field of 96. Remember that this event is run by the TCCA and some proceeds help them fund some great programs that benefit Twin Cities Curling Clubs exclusively. Programs like Junior Curling Camps and Grants and the new SmartBroom sweeping program where the TCCA has purchased SmartBroom technology that all clubs can use to help their members become better sweepers. Not to mention that everyone in the event is guaranteed to curl at all four host clubs and a get a chance to meet members from these clubs and around the country! THERE IS REALLY NO BETTER FUN BONSPIEL TO ATTEND IN THE TWIN CITIES! Sign up now at:
We are happy to announce that the 2019 FSCC School Program has been finalized. This will be the fourth solid year of the program and it looks like we're growing! In the past we've had kids from area high schools and some middle school participation. This season we expect to have participation from the following high chools for sure:
Spring Lake Park
* NEW - Champlin Park
* NEW - White Bear Lake
** Lakeville North - Participating in the end of year School Spiel
** Lakeville South - Participating in the end of year School Spiel
There is typically an adult curling rep from each school who gets the kids involved. Thanks to everyone of them for volunteering there time.
The program will again run Wedesdays from 3PM to 5PM and will start on January 9th, 2019. Instruction and gameplay is featured for all. The program is co-ed and is open to anyone age 8 and above from any school.
If you're interested in having your kid's school participate, or you have a kid at one of the listed schools, or you want to help out on Wednesdays with instruction, please contact me directly at
Did you know that Four Seasons Curling Club members can earn credits and possibly curl in leagues for free?
FSCC has a program to help offset the cost of curling. In return for your time helping out with instructing at our corporate and group events, the Fun Leagues, or Learn to Curl sessions, Fogerty Arena would like to offer you the ability to earn credits. Our events typically are two hours in length with each event assigned a 6-credit value, and each credit is worth $5.00. In addition, we often have larger events that are worth a higher credit value based on the event details. We track your credits and apply them as requested for your league registrations in the future. Credits can also be used toward the cost of practice ice and locker rental.
You can view the events coming up through the Instructor Events tab in the left vertical menu on the HOME page. If you find an event that works with your schedule, all you have to do is sign into your account, choose the Instructor Events tab and select the event you would like to be an instructor for.
It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran. We simply ask that you schedule a training session with one of our experienced instructors. Please contact us if you are interested in joining the program and want to set up a training session.

Have you ever wanted to adopt? Four Seasons Curling Club has 96 orphaned curling rocks looking for loving sponsors. With the Adopt a Rock program you don't have the hassle of late night feedings or diaper changes. The adoption fee is a $500 donation, about the cost of a rock. Let us know what you want engraved on the rock handle, whether it is your name or your company's name or logo, and the rock will curl on forever. The donation goes to Fogerty Arena, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Therefore, your donation is eligible as a tax deduction. If you need more information on the Adopt a Rock program, please contact the Fogerty Arena staff by or by calling 763-780-3328.
